We Transform Lives

What Our Work Transforms

Transformations works with low-income, single-head-of-household families and children aging out of the foster care system to transform their houses into homes.

In partnership with other organizations, we create residential settings that promote healthy, positive growth, as well as improved physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Our mission is to help individuals and families to become stronger, more productive individuals and create a stronger community.

Foster Care Project

Transformations currently works with The National Center for Children and Families (NCCF) and their FutureBound Independent Living Program.  We provide design services to young adults who are aging out of the foster care system.

This special project creates a stabilized home environment which a young adult can live to pursue any future endeavor.

We Partner with the Client

Our team of volunteer professionals helps residents in many ways, including:

  • Improving space planning
  • Using color effectively
  • Organizing
  • Providing appropriate lighting
  • Working with a mix of existing and new furnishings to create a comfortable, functional space that lends a sense of dignity to those who have found it in short supply.
